Xenophobia

Why do we fight?
Like we are not one
Sharing the same skin colour
Yet fighting over the A's and D's in our voices
Fighting amongst our selves
The one's from the seas call us apes

Africa!
Why are we hating on each other?
Brothers and sisters throwing spears at each other
Why are you wearing armor to go and fight your brother?
Fighting over land
Yet we give it to the white skinned
Blaming each other for the things we lose ourselves

Africa!
Is xenophobia really in our blood?
Blaming it on our forefathers
For being oppressed we say we are born with it in our blood
Calling one another with names
Yet we are the same

Africa!
Why are we allowing our brother's and sister's blood to be on our hands?
Ain't we all sons and daughters of the soil?
Born not free
Yet we fight for our survival
All victims of colonists
Yet we survived cause we are AFRICA
